Growing Popularity of English language Programmes in Poland—Rebranding the Polish Education System

In recent times, Poland has been rebranding itself as one of the top destinations for Higher Education in the English language. In light of this rebranding, higher education institutions have launched degree programmes (both Bachelors and Masters) in English to cater to foreign students who want to study in Poland. Currently in Poland there are more than 700 university programmes taught in foreign languages, primarily English.

For most students, the pros outweigh the cons while applying for a Polish degree with English as the language of instruction. The biggest motivation being receiving a European degree with lower tuition costs than other European destinations. Polish education institutions have begun to recognise the demand for English language education for international students as well as Polish students who want to broaden their horizons.

In the past decade, many young students moved abroad for better opportunities for their education and careers. The increasing availability of English language programmes in Poland tackle the root problem by creating better opportunities right here in the country. As of April 2019, more than 57,000 foreign students have chosen Poland as their study destination.

WSEI offers a range of English language programmes at the bachelors level as well as non degree short term level. For more information please refer to https://en.wsei.edu.pl/
